Volunteers Wanted!
Volunteers are invited to apply to work in the various animal care areas. Skilled electricians, plumbers and carpenters are also needed. In addition, there is a need for volunteers willing to do manual labor in a variety of construction and maintenance projects. We welcome volunteers with experience in bathing and grooming, training, T-Touch, adoption counseling, data entry, filing, and office work.

People interested in applying for our volunteer opportunities should contact the Sanctuary Volunteer Coordinator, 845-386-9738 or volunteers@petsalive.com. Please also sign up for our mailing list so that we can keep you updated on volunteer opportunities and requests! Thank you so much for caring.

We welcome your "well-behaved" children. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult, and must stay with you the entire day (or be assigned to one of our other volunteers). We also welcome your school or organization projects.

Volunteer Orientation
Required for ALL animal care volunteers
Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and another at 1:00 p.m.
Also Sundays at 10:00 am
Orientation lasts just 15-20 minutes and is required.
This just helps us to explain to you which leashes to use on which dogs, or which animals to be careful with, or other situations that we want you to be aware of for your safety or the animals safety. If these days do not work for you please email the volunteer coordinator and we can schedule a special time or day for your orientation.
